Pregnancy ayurvedic massages for couples.
This massage is practiced in Kerala, India, during pregnancy from the third month once per week. From the 7th month onwards the massage can be done 2 or 3 times per week. It is usually done for 30-40 minutes. It is performed in a standing position to improve the strength of the body.
The massage is done during the day time, and 2,3 hours after the food intake.
Benefits: - Relaxes the whole body
- Reduces the tensions in the muscles and joints
- Helps the muscles to become stronger so that it can undergo strenuous work coming later during delivery
- Pacifies the aggravated Vata dosha
